[00:00:00] Tim: Is it possible to achieve success as a part-time content creator? I'm thinking most part-time content creators have asked themselves this question at some point in time. Because although being a part-time creator comes with some benefits, it also creates a particular set of challenges.
[00:00:16] We're often pulled in multiple directions with content creation, work, school, or business. We're competing with other creators who have more time, experience, and resources. And we have only so much time in which to do it. At times, it feels like it's impossible, however, I believe it is possible. Hey everyone, my name is Tim and welcome to Season Three of My Tog Blog About Awesome Content Creation.
[00:00:38] In this season, we're going to take a step back and look at the bigger picture of content creator life. Specifically, what does success look like as a part-time content creator and what are the resources, strategies, and daily practices that we can use to get there. Whether we're doing this as a hobby, a side hustle, or as a business, I think we all want our efforts to be successful on some level. And we tend to measure that success partly in terms of things like audience size, external recognition, like the silver play button, or monetization potential.
[00:01:08] But there's so much more to this because I think many of us are artists, content creators, or business people because we're almost compelled to do it. We've got stories to tell, we've got ideas we want to share, and we want to help or inspire people through our content or our business.
[00:01:25] So the real question, I think, is how do we make this work? And that's what we'll be diving into this season as we look at all the different dimensions of what it takes to be successful as a part-time content creator and how we can equip ourselves to do that. And we'll this through vlogs, interviews with creators, and other show formats. The hope is that at the end of it all, you'll be able to take away a few things that you find to be useful, interesting, or inspiring.
[00:01:48] I've spent years studying and practicing digital marketing, content, writing, project management, and education. And now I want to take all of that and pour it into helping other part-time content creators grow their online presence and expand the opportunities available to them.
[00:02:04] I'm currently on this journey of growing my podcast and YouTube channel. And I'm going to be honest with you, it's not a completely linear process. There's setbacks, there's wins. But, overall, with consistent effort and continual improvement, there is a path forward and I hope you'll join me on it.
